The Senate is the highest academic body composed of representatives of the academic staff and students in the manner and under the conditions established by law and the statute, as follows:

• The Rector and Vice Rectors,
• Deans of faculties,
• Representatives of the academic staff in employment, determined by a special decision,
• Representatives of students from all study cycles, delegated by the student representative body, making up at least 15% of the total number of Senate members.

The competence of the Senate is established by law and the statute.
